Thanksgiving and Squanto

The history of the Thanksgiving holiday in America is the story of God’s gracious dealings with the pilgrims as they came to this land. One of the Lord’s provisions was a man named Squanto (Tisquantum). His story is well described in the book Squanto and the Miracle of Thanksgiving, by Eric Metaxas. The fuller story of the pilgrims is well described in Barbara Rainey’s book, Thanksgiving, A Time to Remember. The dramatic audio presentation of Squanto’s story is great for the whole family. You can listen to it here: Part 1. Part 2.
